My Little Gemology is dedicated to popularization of gemology. We present the instruments of the gemologist and their practical use by an amateur. You will find, among other things, gemological training, gemological news and gemological books.

Gemology is a captivating passion. The materials on which it is exerted are superb: diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, but also tourmalines, spinels, garnets, jades, aquamarines, zircons and so many other wonders of nature. Beyond gems, the world of gemology is a world of enthusiasts, where professionals and amateurs exchange and share. The people you meet are often as colorful as the gems they are discussing.

I started gemmology in 2001, on my own. Internet sites were not as abundant as they are today and most of the information circulated in closed circles and in specialized books or magazines. Times have changed a lot, but getting started in gemology can be tricky.

I was lucky enough to be able to follow the Gem-A gemology training and today I would like to share with you some knowledge to allow you to easily begin this initiation into gemology . It’s up to you to see later what you want to do with it, hobby or profession. But you might as well warn you right away: we catch the virus quickly and it is stubborn!

The site is divided into 6 main sections that can be found in the menu:

Your comments are welcome as My Little Gemology is all about sharing. It will be enriched by our exchanges and will become what we will do with it together.

Welcome and good visit.

Gemologically your
